The Community
Margaretta Local School District is a predominately rural district located in the north central part of Ohio. It contains the village of Castalia and has approximately 144 square miles of area located in two counties (Erie and Sandusky) and three townships (Margaretta, Townsend and part of Groton). Lake Erie is north, Sandusky City lies to the east, Fremont is west and both Clyde and Bellevue border the southern area of the district. The population is mainly employed in blue collar positions or the agribusiness community.
