The Margaretta Local School District is located in scenic northwestern Ohio (Erie & Sandusky Counties) along the shores of Lake Erie; and just minutes from Cedar Point. Margaretta Schools is a hub of several villages and townships that comprise the district. A strong community workforce is made up of a mixture of manufacturing, farming and service industries. The Margaretta Local School District serves approximately twelve hundred (1200) students in grades pre-K through 12. It is comprised of two learning facilities: Margaretta Elementary houses the system's primary students in preschool - grade 5. Margaretta Middle/High School provides programs for students in grades 6-8 and 9-12.
The Margaretta Local School District sponsors Townsend Community School (TCS). Townsend provides a high quality education to its students and contributes significantly to Ohio's effort to provide quality education options to at-risk children through a vigorous, creative community-school program that prepares students for the 21st century.
